Went to Copelands on W. Esplanade. The male bartender, Brandon, was very nasty. He assumed we said something to a table and told us we were rude people. And then said y'all are just rude to go to a table and ask them to leave. Well the is not what happened at all. He assumed that. But to make it worse I found out he went to his tables he told them how rude we were. I found this out cause a friend of mine was sitting at one of his tables and told me what he said when I passed them. The mgr. said she would talk to him after his shift, but my friend was so upset she didn't want to eat. we had apps and drinks spent $90 and left. Our waitress/ bartender Stevie was just fine. My friend never wants to go back. It was our fun place till he ruined it. I hope they fired him for being so nasty. I am very angry and think the Mgr. should have made him apologize. We were always in the restaurant business our entire life and I can tell you I would have spoken to my employee then fired my employee immediately. If you have a problem with a guest, tell your Mgr. and have them handle it. Very disappointed. Called and messaged corporate office and left 2 messages with no return call in over a week.

CUSTOMER BEWARE!!! Horrible operation. The standards and expectations are greatly lowered, where African-Americans are the majority customer base. Management at the Cobb Parkway (Atlanta) location are completely and utterly incompetent. Jazzy chicken was undercooked and I was charged twice for the same meal and promised the charge would fall off. The charge did not, completely unethical operation. I wish there was a 0 star rating. Al Copeland has to be rolling in his grave for the buffoonery in his locations today.

Cheesecake Bistro Baton Rouge Me and my husband came in for dinner and the restaurant isn’t busy at all. Most of the employees are sitting down on the bench up front or standing around with the Mgr. We got seated in the bar area and my husband started a timer to see how long it would take to be greeted. We’ve been waiting almost 10 mins before anyone decided to acknowledge us. There was no bartender around either. Finally an employee came over and my husband asked for the Mgr. My husband explained to him how long we’ve been sitting and how the employees would walk by and looked at us. Your Mgr response to us was this: Would like someone to greet you. My husband was done after that comment. He told your mgr. that we weren’t staying and he literally walked off. He didn’t seem to concerned about your guests. He rather go back up front and cut up with the employees. My husband is in the restaurant business and is a Mgr. He runs the catering side of the restaurant. Extremely disappointed that this is how guest are treated at your establishment. If your employees don’t want to work then they need to go home. I’m a Mgr as well and would never tolerate this behavior.

Please do not waste your time, money or energy at Copeland’s on the West Bank. The poor service, lack of experienced management and mediocre prepared dishes are not worth the headache. I had a valid concern that I bought to managements attention a week ago and so far all I’ve gotten are apologies and empty promises over the last week. Contacted the manager Kendrick again today and received yet another “I’m so sorry I forgot.” It’s funny because they did not seem to forget to collect their money for payment of services not rendered out of my account. I implore you to patronize a restaurant that values its customers and are worthy of your hard earned money. Copelands on the West Bank won’t get another chance from my family or friends.

I called last week and got reservations for my husband’s 72nd bday. We got there early. The other 6 members of our party were there by 12:35. My husband has recently had a total hip replacement and needed to be seated at our table instead of having to get up and down. We should have changed our plans BC the service, buffet, and the whole ordeal was ridiculous and a disappointment for my husband's bday, after us driving up and back home, an hour each way. Our waiter STAYED with another party directly behind us! We had to KEEP asking him over and over for the same thing; tooo busy to take care of our needs! The bill was right at $180, plus paying your employee so you don't have to! We'll spread the word for you! Should have gone to The Mariner’s in Natchitoches, Louisiana where the food is delicious and service is superb! We won’t make the same mistake again!
