I highly recommend Barry. He has represented me twice in custody matters, and both times we had successful outcomes. What stood out to me most was how well he understood my case and how effectively he presented why it was in my daughter’s best interest to remain with me and for me to remain the domiciliary parent. He did an excellent job defending my position, explaining the facts, and keeping the focus where it belonged—on my daughter’s best interest. Barry was also extremely reasonable with his fees. My previous attorney charged $600 an hour and $700 an hour for court appearances, and Barry’s overall cost was roughly half of what I had previously paid while still providing excellent representation. Going through a custody case is stressful, especially when your child’s future is involved, and having an attorney you trust makes a huge difference. I’m very thankful for the work Barry did for me and my daughter. After having him represent me successfully twice, I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, effective, and fairly priced family law attorney.

"You should never need a lawyer for your lawyer." I retained Barry Dowd for a civil case. I thought a smaller office meant he would actually care. I was wrong. He was my lawyer for about 90 days. He never once advocated for me. He was constantly out of the office (conveniently right after I would him). He never answered a single email in full. He responded like a Tibetan monk, vague, sometimes dramatic, and frequently about how his beliefs of less work meant better results. When he decided he was done with my case, he invented conflict so he could withdraw. The retainer agreement means nothing. You will get no work out of him. When I got my file back, it was a jumbled mess with almost no work product in it. He had done almost nothing. He won't help you understand the law and only give vague opinions. Good luck advocating for yourself. He already decided your case and will run it his way regardless of what evidence you have. I had him for just over 100 days. I have filed a bar complaint. Do not spend money you cannot afford to throw away. There are better lawyers out there.

Best lawyer hands down!! I recently used Mr Dowd for a legal matter, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the service I received. From the very beginning, Mr. Dowd demonstrated a high level of professionalism and expertise. He was always available to answer my questions and provided clear, concise advice that made the process much easier to understand. His attention to detail and dedication to my case were truly impressive. I highly recommend MR. BARRY DOWD to anyone in need of legal assistance. He is not only knowledgeable but also genuinely care about his clients' well-being. With that being said if you’re EVER in a jam call Barry i promise he’ll make everything alright !!

Mr. Dowd is a wonderful attorney. He is strait forward and very respectful. Very professional. Everything he forsaw in my cases happened almost exactly the way he thought it would. He comes to court prepared and he knows the law. He gives accurate and helpful advice. I would highly recommend him to anyone. If I ever need an attorney again, I will choose Mr. Dowd.

Mr. Dowd personally called me after I reached out online. I had heard he was a good attorney but pricey. I had contacted several attorneys and none bothered to return my call. Mr. Dowd met with me on a Friday evening. By Monday, a draft was sent to me. I am very pleased.
