Called to cancel account because of non use in August 2017. Had to pay until contract was done in November. No problem. They auto renewed anyway in November and raised the rate $60.00 more per month. Totally unwilling to consider cancelling now. They say I have to pay for the whole year of 2018. I cannot believe they would do this over one phone. $2,640 a year for nothing. Beware of these guys. No conscience at all. Dishonest!

To Spot X owners.. I upgraded from the spot gen 3 to the spot x a year and a half ago. I have used the device about 5 times and it worked ok. Had issues with the on/off button to begin with as it was difficult to engage the button. Very poor design for an on/off button. My son currently is using it for hunting in the Idaho back county. However, he was able to use his cell phone to text me that he can not get it to power on using the on off button..Yes it is fully charged! So, he is out there hunting solo without us knowing and tracking his location in case of an emergency. I purchased this device as additional insurance and piece of mind knowing that it provides precise location and the ability to communicate via text should something happen.. WELL.. I don't have that additional insurance and piece of mind..Thank you SPOT!!! I called SPOT Support today hoping that they would offer to fix the unit regardless of being a few months out of warranty. The gentlemen mentioned that I was out of the warranty period and that I did not purchased additional insurance. He spoke with his supervisor and they would fix it for $80.00. The fact that I have to pay anything to fix a serious design flaw is beyond me for a device that is only a 1.5 years old. VERY Disappointed with SPOT will be looking for alternative company.

Great company with amazing products and service. Globalstar will forever have my trust and confidence. Can't wait to use them on my next Jeep Jamboree.

Impossible to cancel my SPOT LLC (Globalstar) subscription online, in fact there's no way to contact support online. Completely unacceptable in 2020, glad I switched to Iridium which has far superior coverage and lets me easily pause/resume service online.
