My Canadian fiancé and I were stuck on a part of our K1 visa process and wanted a bit of help with it. We sought out this law firm and paid $200 for a meeting with Anamaria Vizcaino. Our meeting lasted a total of 10 minutes and I was told to email her all of the info for our visa, such as case number and receipt number. I did all of this, then was told by Anamaria that she and Matthew would review it and get back to me. She also told me to keep checking the consulate for interview appointments, which I did and secured an interview for July 31st for my fiancé. I sent her an email on July 20th notifying her that I had gotten an interview and asked her if there was anything else I needed to do or know before the appointment, as we still weren’t sure where to fully go from here. I got absolutely no response and was almost fully sure she had ghosted me and run off with the money. It took my father sending an email on August 11th for any response. Anamaria had been sick with Covid. But she did see the email I had sent on the 20th and forgot to respond. We received a full refund. Thank you for that at least, but my fiancé and I will absolutely be finding another lawyer to go to for the AOS part of immigration. We do appreciate the refund and the quick response after a full month of not hearing anything, but I can’t recommend this firm or Anamaria at all.

Paid consultation that provided no meaningful analysis or guidance. Despite explaining before the appointment that EOIR showed “no case found” for the A-Number, the consultation consisted almost entirely of the attorney rechecking the same number, expressing confusion, and stating that the result “shouldn’t be possible.” No clear explanation or legal assessment was provided. The appointment started late, ended quickly, and concluded with a generic ~$6,000 estimate with no defined scope, no clear next steps, and a promise to follow up. No follow-up was ever provided. The consultation did not justify the time or cost.
