I ended up trying to get a job at the Peace Corps for like 2 years, and I was willing to go anywhere... and the last recruiter I talked to was this guy named Claudale Daniels. I had to exchange several emails with him to try to convey to him that Georgia was not just the name of the state north of Florida, (but also the name of a nation in the Caucus region) and Claudel was unwilling to compromise with me on this fact and continued to insist that the Peace corps doesn't send people to locations within the United States. I ended up opening an internal investigation due to his incompetence, and never heard anything back even though I requested multiple times for public information on the internal investigation. Pretty sad that a man after spending 20 years in the Navy and 2 years recruiting for the Peace corps is still so stubborn to recognize that there are more than one place in the world called Georgia... You would think a man who retired from the Navy after 20 years would have at least once heard of another place called Georgia, and would have been at least inspired enough to recall. The only reason this organization gets any five-star reviews is because of obsequious people actively attempting to be sycophantic.

Good downtown location. They usually have recruitment events on Friday afternoons. Make sure you have a valid ID, or you can't get through security (it is a federal building, after all).

I considered doing this after graduating college but the 27 months was a bit too lengthy dor me.

Got excellent service from the Peace Corps Eastern Caribbean office in St. Lucia, and its counterpart in DC.
