Mr. Rue came highly recommended by very close friends of mine. To say he exceeded my expectations would be an understatement. He has an exceptional wealth of knowledge. He shared more information in one consultation than my previous lawyer gave me in a year. But if I am being honest, it wasn’t just about that. He was also very compassionate and personable. I was very emotional during the meeting, so after the legal talk, he gave me the best motivational speak/therapy session. It was so kind. To me, that speaks volumes about his character. Not only is he amazing at his job, he also cares about his clients. He could have easily only given me the legal advice that I paid for, but instead he went the extra mile. Thanks to him I walked out a different person. When it comes to lawyers, he has definitely raised the bar.

My husband and I required some legal advice we went to Stephen Rue’s office. We were greeted by Jennifer Thompson, his paralegal. She was very friendly, knowledgeable and listened. We felt welcomed. Jennifer scheduled our appointment. When we met with Stephen Rue he was supportive and explained everything clearly. We have the highest praise for Stephen Rue.

Highly Recommend Stephen Rue – Responsive, Strategic Family Law Attorney Stephen Rue provided outstanding guidance on my complex family law matter. What impressed me most was his exceptional responsiveness. After calling three other attorneys, he was the only one who offered to meet the very next day, despite it being a public holiday. This immediate availability demonstrated his commitment to addressing my urgent situation rather than prioritizing his convenience. His demeanour was relaxed and friendly. I never felt rushed; instead, I felt valued and respected. His ability to explain legal options, mirroring my terminology, showed expertise and attentive listening skills. His initial consulting fee was below market rate, yet the advice I received was comprehensive and actionable. While his retainers may reflect the "first-class level" service he provides, this affordable entry point made high-quality legal guidance accessible to me. During our meeting, he balanced professionalism with genuine compassion, offering a tissue when emotions surfaced while keeping our discussion focused and productive. Beyond the consultation, he provided several no-cost strategies that created significant value and shared two quality referrals for attorneys he deemed better suited to my needs. It was well worth the time and effort I used to find him. I discovered Stephen through the Justia.com platform and used a simple Google background search — a method I'd recommend in 2025. I drove an hour away to meet with him. For anyone needing a family law attorney who combines accessibility, strategic thinking, expertise, and compassionate understanding, Stephen Rue stands out as an excellent choice!

I highly recommend Stephen Rue as your Family Law attorney! He is very knowledgeable in Louisiana law and has a great way of explaining legal terms for the client to understand. My son has a complex child custody case and after two previous attorneys, Stephen Rue was able to achieve a positive outcome for him!

I’m thrilled with what Mr. Rue able to do with my case. A person made false serious allegations against me and he was able to get those claims dismissed. In fact, this person ended up having to pay me thousands of dollars. Thank you very much, Mr. Rue for your great services. I highly recommend attorney Stephen Rue as the best lawyer on the North Shore.
