Shout out to Mrs Ebony Cavalier!! I was so happy she accepted my case. She was able to get everything I requested for in my case. She is very knowledgeable in Louisiana law. Highly recommended to anyone who needs a strong lawyer!! She assured me everything was going to be fine. We went to court, it played out just like she said it would. Definitely would call her and her office for all my future needs. Thank you Ebony! 10/10.

I strongly caution anyone dealing with attorney Ebony Cavalier to examine the record carefully. In my family-court case, official court records repeatedly stated that she appeared “on behalf of IRIS Domestic Violence Intervention Center, Inc.” and requested continuances that kept restraining orders in effect. Those entries created the unmistakable appearance that a domestic-violence organization was involved in my case and supported continued restrictions against me. IRIS later informed me in writing that it had no involvement in my case, that Ms. Cavalier was not representing IRIS in those matters, and that her appearances were made as a courtesy to the court. In other words, the official record repeatedly conveyed institutional involvement that IRIS itself later denied. This was not an insignificant discrepancy. The restraining orders affected my relationship with my children, while the underlying allegations were never independently investigated. I believe the repeated use of IRIS’s name gave the allegations an appearance of professional review and legitimacy that did not exist. An attorney has an obligation to ensure that representations made in court are truthful and not materially misleading. Based on the documents in my case, I have grave concerns about Ms. Cavalier’s honesty, professional judgment, and respect for the consequences her actions had on a family. I would not trust her with any matter involving children, domestic violence allegations, or a person’s fundamental rights.

The ladies at the Ebony Cavalier Attorney's office were helpful from start to finish on my case. Grade "A" service from some of the best in the business, they did not rest until my case was resolved.

Terrible lawyer. I’m going through a domestic violence case , and when I first met her she was very rude. She suggested to my child’s father that he get our child Thursday - Sunday even though he doesn’t have a job to take care of her. Never buys her anything. And is a drug addict and alcoholic. I stepped out the office to get my mom and she was also very rude to her and constantly interrupted me and my mom’s conversation. She lied and told me that my next court date was going to be about custody of my child and not the domestic dispute because he agreed to stay away from me, which made me be unprepared for court. ( my child’s father also thought it was a custody case today as well). Once court was over she came to the end of the hallway to see what happened with my case even though she was no longer my lawyer. When talking about agreements with my child’s father for our kid, she asked someone who was in court with me how my case went , and proceed to talk negatively about me in front of my mom and sister. Why do you need to know what’s going on with my case if you’re not my lawyer. Once I walked into the hallway she begin to argue with my mom and younger sister and told me “ that’s why on are on a domestic violence floor of the courthouse “. She also talked about how I didn’t have a lawyer but I didn’t need one because our families came to an agreement about our child prior to court. This was very unprofessional and also insensitive to say. Laughing about another’s person abuse is not funny at all, and as a lawyer she needs to carry herself better. What layers sits and argue with people in a courthouse, and also degrades someone about their abuse. She’s a sad case of a lawyer and I wouldn’t recommend getting her to work your case ESPECIALLY DOMESTIC Violence VICTIMS.
